Compliance signage for licensed venues
Signs are useful for notifying staff and patrons of their legal requirements and the fines for breaking liquor laws. The Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation provides signs for you to download, print and display at your licensed premises. The fine amounts noted on signs change on 1 July each year.
We encourage you to use the signage provided in this guide to tell your patrons what you expect of them while at your licensed premises. You can also clearly convey to patrons and staff that you support your staff in refusing service; and your staff can point out these signs when enforcing responsible service of alcohol laws.
Signage for licensed venues cover the topics of:
- mandatory signs
- BYO and takeaway alcohol
- identified organisations
- minors
- noise restrictions
- refusal of service
- patron and venue safety.
