Complex gas installations

It is a requirement in Queensland to issue a gas certificate where a licence or authorisation holder installs all or part of a gas system.

Complex installations can include multiple installers and/or multiple companies carrying out gas work on different sections of the gas system. This added complexity can lead to potential failures in gas safety and compliance outcomes.

The Guideline for managing gas work at complex installations (PDF, 286KB) has been developed to provide high level guidance to ensure gas work licence/ gas work authorisation holders and project personnel have a better understanding of compliance requirements throughout the life cycle of the project.
