Consultation on the draft Pioneer Valley water plan (PDF, 1.3MB) is now open.
All feedback must be submitted to us by 19 December 2025.
Your feedback should include anything you’d like us to consider before we finalise the Pioneer Valley water plan, such as your views on the draft provisions, any potential impacts (positive or negative), and suggestions for improvements or alternative approaches. Provide as much detail as possible.
Include your contact details if you are happy for us to contact you to discuss your feedback.
Infrastructure
The scope of this review is limited to the management and allocation of water.
Any issues or comments relating to the assessment or approval of infrastructure proposals should be referred to the Office of the Coordinator-General.

Timeline
From when we start to when the new plan is formally adopted takes several years.
There are 5 steps in our water plan review process.
Current status
The status of this review is step 3. We have released the draft water plan for second round of public consultation.
What’s next
Step 4: We’ll review feedback received in step 3 and finalise the replacement water plan anticipated in 2025-27.
Step 5: The new water plan will be in place after appropriate approvals which is anticipated in 2027.
