Unallocated Great Artesian Basin groundwater (Crows Nest, southern Lockyer and Scenic Rim)

The release of unallocated water has now closed.

We are currently assessing the tender applications we received for unallocated water in the Crows Nest and Southern Moreton groundwater areas.

Some 1,275 megalitres of unallocated Great Artesian Basin groundwater were offered in the Crows Nest and Southern Moreton groundwater areas from the Walloon, Marburg and Woogaroo (PDF, 1.8MB) geological units.

Tender assessment

The tender application period ran from 10 September until 5pm 30 November 2020. The application period is now closed and no further tender applications will be received.

We are assessing applications for eligibility and to make sure they meet the application requirements.

Conforming tenders will be assessed against the evaluation criteria listed in the terms of release (PDF, 977KB).

The term of the granted water licences may vary, depending on any conditions imposed by the department.
