Restricted invasive animals

Everyone is obligated to take all reasonable and practical steps to minimise the risks associated with invasive animals under their control. This is called a general biosecurity obligation (GBO).

Restricted invasive animals are established in Queensland and seriously threaten Queensland's primary industries, natural environment, livestock, human health and people's livelihoods.

You can find detailed information on individual invasive animals below, and a summary of the restrictions and a list of restricted invasive animals in the Restricted invasive animals of Queensland fact sheet (PDF, 2.1MB).
