MP 4.1 | Sustainable buildings (PDF, 475KB) | 1 March 2021 | The pending Queensland Development Code MP 4.1–Sustainable buildings (QDC 4.1) has been updated to include separate cooling and heating load limits as part of the energy efficiency (star rating) of new residential dwellings. The load limits are intended to apply as an additional requirement with the energy efficiency (star rating) of new houses (class 1) and sole-occupancy units in a multi-unit residential building (class 2) when software is used to determine the energy efficiency of the dwelling’s building shell (roof, walls, windows and floors). The updated draft QDC 4.1 contains all the potential star ratings possible in Queensland for regulatory purposes and their associated load limits. |
