ID scanning checklist | Business Queensland

This checklist will help you meet your obligations when using networked ID scanners. You and your staff can do regular self-assessment to ensure you're complying with ID scanner requirements.

General obligations

This venue has a signed contract with an approved operator for the installation, repair and maintenance of a networked ID scanner. A copy of the contract is available for Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation (OLGR) to view at any time.

This venue's networked ID scanner operates from 10pm on the required days. This isn't required if you are exempt from having to operate a networked ID scanner.

This venue is complying with any specific approved ID scanner conditions on the liquor licence (if applicable).

This venue's re-entry pass system (if one is used) meets the requirements of the Liquor Act 1992.

Operation and maintenance

Any staff who operate the networked ID scanner in this venue are appropriately supervised by a crowd controller who is licensed under the Security Providers Act 1993, or they are covered by an exemption.

Any staff who operate the networked ID scanner in this venue have been trained in what they need to know, including how to operate it and when they should refuse entry.

Staff in this venue know what to do if there's an ID scanner system failure.

Privacy

This venue's turnover is $3 million or less per year, so we have opted in to be covered by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cwlth).
