Secure access to water information with WaterIQ and myID

WaterIQ brings together a wide range of water-related information in one place giving you self-service access to information on your specific entitlements, all via a secure login.

To make sure the right person accesses the right information, WaterIQ uses myID, the Australian Government’s secure digital ID service, to verify your identity.

Why we use myID

myID is a secure way to prove who you are online. It protects your personal information using encryption and strict Australian government security standards.

  • WaterIQ is a Queensland Government platform that uses the Australian Government myID identity authentication service to confirm who you are. The information shared from myID is limited to this purpose.
  • We do not have access to any personal information or records that you used to create your myID, such as your driver’s licence, Medicare card or passport.
  • We do not have access to any records you have with other government agencies.
  • We provide each individual with a unique, one-time linking code. This allows us to link your myID to your WaterIQ account. It is how we verify your identity and your authority to access your water entitlement information in WaterIQ.
  • Each time you log into WaterIQ, your myID verifies who you are.
