Funding for cap and pipe projects
Funding is available through the Great Artesian Basin rehabilitation program (GABRP) for eligible cap and pipe projects within Queensland's section of the Great Artesian Basin.
Applications are now open for eligible projects proposed for the 2027–28 financial year.
How to apply
- Complete an expression of interest (EOI) form for GABRP funding (PDF, 441KB) and email it to BPMO@dlgwv.qld.gov.au. Submit your EOI by 4pm (AEST Qld), Friday 30 October 2026.
- We will assess your EOI and determine whether your proposed project is eligible for funding under the GABRP.
- If your project is eligible, you will be issued with a registered application form to complete.
- Before completing your application, read the GABRP applicant guidelines (PDF, 1.3MB) for program requirements, eligibility criteria and the application process.
- A sample application form 001 (PDF, 914KB) is available to help you understand the information required before you receive a registered application form.
- Submit your completed application and all required supporting documentation by 4pm (AEST Qld), Monday 30 November 2026:

Late applications will not be accepted.
- We will assess your application and contact you if further information or clarification is required during the assessment process.
- Subject to availability of funds, eligible projects will be considered for the 2027–28 financial year.
