This release is not part of the Queensland Exploration Program (QEP).
2025 Land release review
The 2025 Land release review proposes to streamline and improve how land is released for resource exploration in Queensland. Consultation is open until 20 August 2025. Visit Have your say to read the consultation paper and provide feedback.
Expressions of interest (EOI) are an important part of planning for future exploration in Queensland, and mining companies play a significant role in this process by identifying and nominating areas of land they feel may be prospective for resources development.
EOIs for the 2023 Queensland Exploration Program to nominate areas of land closed at 5pm (AEST) on 24 February 2023.
There is currently no EOI submission process open for exploration in Queensland.

Submitting an expression of interest
A link to the online EOI submission form will be available on this page once an EOI process opens. The EOI form allows you to request that an area of land be considered for exploration in a future land release schedule.
You will need to provide information and upload some supporting documentation as part of your submission. The EOI form provides instructions on how to submit a valid EOI, including what attachments are required, and file size limits.
