Call for tenders for Authority to Prospect
The Queensland Government has released two prospective petroleum and gas areas via competitive non-cash tender for petroleum and gas exploration in Queensland’s Surat Basin.
To ensure the gas produced from the areas is supplied exclusively to the domestic market, the areas are subject to an Australian market supply condition under the Petroleum and Gas (Production and Safety) Act 2004 (P&G Act).
This call for tenders opened on 6 September 2017 and will close at 2.30pm (Australian Eastern Standard Time) on 8 December 2017.

Prospectivity: Conventional field potential on the margin of the Roma Shelf. Moderate levels of exploration in the area and in the vicinity of production leases.
