Supervision and induction

Conducting an induction with your apprentice or trainee on their first day will help you get the most of them and set them up for success. The induction should cover an overview of the business, expectations, roles, responsibilities, working conditions and workplace health and safety protocols.

You will also need to provide an appropriately qualified supervisor to work with and help your apprentice or trainee through their training. The supervisor will play a central role in the success or failure of the apprenticeship or traineeship.
