Changing a condition of your liquor licence
You can apply to change a condition of your liquor licence permanently or temporarily. For example, you can apply to:
- change or remove current conditions, including noise conditions
- change the principal activity (but not the licence type)
- sell wine with takeaway meals, if you're a restaurant with a commercial-other (subsidiary on-premises) licence
- change your address, if you hold a producer/wholesaler licence.
You can't use the application for a temporary or permanent change of conditions to:
- permanently change your trading hours
- temporarily change your trading hours
- change your licence type—you'll need to apply for a new licence
- apply to use the venue's licensed carpark for an event
- change your licensed area
- get a one-off event permit.
Permanently change a condition
Apply online to permanently change a condition of your licence.
If you can't apply online, you can download and complete the application for a permanent variation of licence.
You can lodge your application:
- by email to OLGRlicensing@justice.qld.gov.au
- in person—visit one of our locations.
Temporarily change a condition
Apply online to change a condition of your licence temporarily, like for a one-off event—select Temporary Applications.
If you can't apply online, you can download and complete the application for a temporary variation of licence.

- in person—visit one of our locations.
