Bulk water prices for South East Queensland

Freeze on South East Queensland (SEQ) bulk water prices

In June 2026, the Queensland Government put a freeze on SEQ bulk water prices, keeping them at the 2025–26 rate. The below prices will remain in place from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2028 to provide cost-of living relief for SEQ households and businesses.

Note: Calculations are based on average household consumption across SEQ of 160kL per year, assuming an average household size of 2.6 people and average water use of 170L per person per day, as determined through analysis by the Department of Local Government, Water and Volunteers.
