Plant pest and disease surveillance programs

Plant pests and diseases can cause serious economic and social problems for Queensland communities. We minimise these risks through surveillance, eradication and containment programs. We are currently monitoring about 80 serious risks across the state.

This guide gives more information on pests and diseases that can affect exotic plants and fruit in Queensland, as well as the programs and treatments to prevent and eliminate them. It also explains your legal obligations and what you can do to support surveillance programs.
