Safety performance reports and statistics
The following reports and data provide insights into the health and safety performance of Queensland's mining and quarrying industries, and the activities of the Queensland Mines Inspectorate.
Mines and quarries safety performance and health reports
This report analyses industry performance using accident and incident data collected from Queensland mines and quarries on an ongoing basis.
The performance measures aim to focus the attention on areas of safety and health priority and encourage implementation of strategies to further improve safety and health performance.

Injury frequency rates
Injury frequency rates (XLS, 876KB) data show the quarterly frequency rates for recordable injuries, lost-time injuries and disabling injuries for each major industry sector, for the period 1 July 2008 to 31 December 2018.
Mining industry worker numbers (XLS, 276KB) data show the number of workers by mine and sector, as of 31 December 2018.
This data covers occurrences that resulted in fatalities, permanent disability or time lost from work of 1 shift or more. Data is categorised by body part affected, hazards identified, injury type, major equipment, mechanism of injury, occurrence class and worksite location.
