Fees for gas distribution authorities
If you are issued with an authority, you must pay an annual fee to the Department of Energy and Public Works.
You must also pay a fee to transfer or amend the authority.
List of fees
The Queensland Government is introducing a new Fee Unit Model (the model) under Queensland Treasury's Principles for Fees and Charges policy. The model changes the mechanism for how fees are updated annually to reflect indexation.
Below is a consolidated list of fees and charges based on the model. For further details, refer to the Gas Supply Act 2003, the Gas Supply Regulation 2007 and the Acts Interpretation (Fee Unit) Regulation 2022 for the current value of a fee unit.

If the total length of pipelines operated or maintained under the authority immediately before a financial year starts is less than 100 kilometres
Otherwise, the annual distribution fee for a financial year is the amount worked out using the formula:
