Trading hours during applicable events

To support disaster preparation and recovery across the state, emergency disaster planning declarations may be made through Queensland's planning framework. These declarations allow specific local government areas (LGAs) in Queensland to work around the clock to ensure shops can restock their shelves with food, medicines and essential supplies.

Check the list of current applicable events in Queensland.

What this means for your business

Where these declarations are made, certain businesses can operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to restock shelves and warehouses, and use loading docks.

For business trading in these LGAs, it is important to note that this is only for restocking purposes and does not extend your normal retail shop trading hours.
