Commercial and charter fishing fees and forms

Fisheries Queensland issues commercial and charter fishing authorities (i.e. licences, permits, quotas) for Queensland.

You will need to fill out an application form to:

  • apply for a new commercial or charter fishing authority
  • transfer an authority to another person
  • change the details on an authority
  • surrender an authority.

In Queensland, annual fees are charged in advance. Fees notices will be sent to you every 6 months in May and November for the periods 1 July to 31 December and 1 January to 30 June. You can receive fee notices and pay fees electronically through FishNet Secure. You can also pay fee notices through a number of Australia Post payment options. There are also a number of upfront fees payable with relevant applications.
