This website uses an Artificial Intelligence (AI) virtual assistant. All content, responses and output generated by the AI virtual assistant (responses) are not verified through any review or testing and do not represent the views or authority of the State of Queensland (State). The State makes no statement, representation or warranty about the quality, accuracy, context, completeness, availability or suitability of the responses.
You should only use any responses as an initial starting point or guide for further and more specific research and seek professional advice and verify the responses independently through third party sources before making any decisions or taking any actions. If the AI virtual assistant response includes a link to a third-party website, access to that link is done at your own risk. Links to third party websites do not imply a recommendation or endorsement by the State for all the content on those sites.
As between you and the State, the State owns all rights, title, and interest in and to the AI virtual assistant. The State will not claim ownership of any input or information that you upload or provide to the AI virtual assistant. However, the State may use, process and store your uploaded input or information to generate the responses of the AI virtual assistant or for any other purposes set out in this disclaimer, and in accordance with the Information Privacy Act 2009 (Qld) and our privacy policy.
The State disclaims, to the maximum extent permitted by law, all responsibility and all liability (including without limitation, liability in negligence) for all expenses, losses, damages and costs you or any other person might incur for any reason in connection with your use of the AI virtual assistant or the content, responses and output generated by the AI virtual assistant being in any way inaccurate, out of context, incomplete, unavailable, not up to date or unsuitable for any purpose.
The State limits its liability, to the maximum extent permitted by law, for any loss or damage arising from failure to comply with consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, and otherwise (including from any reliance on the content generated by the AI virtual assistant), to resupply of any service provided by the website or the AI virtual assistant or paying the cost of having the service supplied again, at the State’s option.
All conversations with the AI virtual assistant may be recorded, processed and monitored for training purposes, performance management purposes, product improvement and reporting purposes. You consent to the recording and future use of your interactions with the AI virtual assistant for these purposes. Open AI retains logs of these conversations for 30 days, after which they are securely archived and available for up to 7 years. This data is not used to train any AI models.
Do not share, input or upload to the AI virtual assistant any:
- (1) sensitive or personal information about anyone including yourself;
- (2) confidential information;
- (3) any material to which you do not own or have the benefit of appropriate intellectual property rights to share and upload;
- and
- (4) content that describes, features or promotes child sexual exploitation or abuse, grooming, non-consensual intimate content, sexual solicitation, trafficking, suicide and self-injury, graphic violence and gore, terrorism and violent extremism, violent threats, incitement, hate speech and discrimination, bullying and harassment, malware or exploits, unlawful tracking or stalking.
Interactions with the AI virtual assistant are on an anonymous basis; however, the State may ask for your email address if you request to receive a transcript of your conversation with the AI virtual assistant. Please review the privacy policy for more information on the State ’s data handling practices and your privacy rights.
