The Department of Employment, Small Business and Training (DESBT) aims to advise successful applicants of the outcome of their application by 17 April 2023.

The Chamber Wellness Fund is available to Queensland chambers of commerce to help build awareness of mental health services, and to upskill chambers and their members to support business owners.

Chambers can apply for grants between $2,000 and $5,000 to develop and implement local mental health wellness initiatives tailored to the small business owners and operators in their area.

The $150,000 fund is part of the Queensland Government's Small Business Wellness Package which aims to support the mental health and wellness of Queensland small businesses and promote and improve access to available support services.

Eligible activities

Successful grant funded activities will fall into 1 of 3 priority areas:

  1. Activities that inform or connect chamber members to mental wellbeing resources and support services available
  2. Training for chamber of commerce members
  3. Training for chamber of commerce executives

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible, the chamber must (at the time of applying):

  • be a chamber of commerce currently operating in Queensland
  • have an active Australian Business Number (ABN)
  • have a Queensland headquarters.

Stage 1: Registration of interest (ROI) – closed

Registrations of interest opened 9am, 14 December 2022 and closed 11.59pm, 14 February 2023.

Stage 2: Full application – closed

Full applications opened 9am, 28 February 2023 and closed 11.59pm, 24 March 2023.
