Supply chain support and manufacturing opportunities in response to COVID-19
The Queensland Government is committed to assisting Queensland manufacturers and businesses that are currently impacted by the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) situation.
Supply chain support
Manufacturers or businesses who are having difficulties accessing supplies to continue to operate, employ and meet their customer needs should complete the Manufacturer's supply matching request form.
This form will help us to identify, match and manage supply chain shortages due to COVID-19 specifically for businesses in Queensland.
Help fill supply chain gaps for critical goods
If your business is able to supply to other businesses who are experiencing supply chain issues, you can register your supply capabilities on the Industry Capability Network (ICN) Gateway. Registering on the ICN Gateway is free.
When specific supply chain opportunities are identified that match your business capabilities, you will be notified of the opportunity by email that an expression of interest (EOI) has become available.
You can also review and express interest in the work packages already listed that are seeking suppliers.
Business innovation and growth opportunities in response to COVID-19
#MakingItForQLD innovative ideas and solutions
We are seeking expressions of interest from businesses with the capability and capacity to:
- diversify their manufacturing business
- scale up or boost their current production
- produce goods and services, including personal protective equipment (PPE), identified during the COVID-19 pandemic, and who could potentially assist in replacing current imported goods and services, now and in the future.
If your business has any of these capabilities or if you have innovative ideas and solutions ready to be implemented to help our COVID-19 response, register your interest against the 'MakingItForQld during and after COVID-19' work package.
Any business manufacturing PPE must ensure it is produced to specific standards.
Find information on standards and specifications for PPE requirements for frontline healthcare workers from Queensland Health.
Supporting Queensland manufacturers and businesses
#MakingItForQLD help grow manufacturing in Queensland
We are seeking expressions of interest from businesses who currently import goods and services from outside Queensland and are looking for opportunities to buy from Queensland manufacturers.
If you are interested in shortening your supply chain and reducing your reliance on goods and services previously imported from interstate or overseas, fill out an expression of interest for 'MakingItForQld - what do you need to be made in Queensland'.
This information will be used to match your business with Queensland manufacturers who can deliver into your supply chain for the longer term.
The aim is for Queensland's manufacturing sector to scale up, grow and deliver to the community and industry in times of need and in the future, and to build resistance to supply chain disruptions as we are experiencing during the COVID-19 pandemic.
