Do you have a great business idea but aren't sure where to start? Introducing the Queensland Business Launchpad, designed to save you time and effort, so that you can get your business off the ground.

The Business Launchpad provides a centralised service, consolidating your business licensing needs from all levels of government.

[Animation]

The man appears again, the forms and questions he was looking at earlier, swirl around the computer screen.

By using information like your business type, location and services, you can access all of the licences, permits and other important regulatory information you'll need to open your doors and start trading.

[Animation]

A computer screen appears. It shows the screen within the Business Launchpad where you answer a series of questions regarding your business type, location and services.

You can explore, create a personalised guide, review your results, and print forms without signing in.

[Animation]

But if you already have an ABN, you can access additional features by using your myGovID.

This will allow you to pre-fill forms with your business information, save your progress and submit forms online.

Creating a guide is so easy, you'll be up and running in no time.

When you sign in, check your details are correct.

Click 'get started'. Then it's just four simple questions. Select your industry.

Then your business type.

Scrolls down to show a range of tick boxes about the business type, the cursor ticks the button 'café/restaurant/canteen'.

Enter your location.

Text is typed into the location screen: Townsville City 4810.

And then the name of your business.

[Animation]

Question appears, 'What is the name of your business?’. Answer is typed on screen 'My Café'. The cursor then ticks the terms and conditions box and clicks the 'submit' button.

Success! You've created a guide and now you're on your way.

[Animation]

A new screen appears, with text that says 'Success! Your 'My Café' guide is almost ready.'

Now you can customise your guide by answering some simple questions about your business. This refines your results to show only what's relevant.

Shows the computer screen scrolling down to clicking 'Yes' and 'No' to different question types about your business, an example of these questions is 'will your business be home-based?'.

You can tailor your view using the filters on the left. Use the folders to prioritise what's important to you and keep records of your progress.

Click on a guide result to see detailed information, including any fees, forms, relevant legislation and contact details.

Cursor clicks on and opens a page called 'Approved Operator ID Scanning Systems'.

The Business Launchpad makes completing and submitting applications easier. Some forms can even be filled in online and submitted directly to the licensing agency, just look for the icons to show you how it can be completed.

If you click on a form that shows a red pencil beside it, an editable form will open in the Launchpad ready for your input.

Because you've signed in, form fields will automatically pre-fill with your Australian Business Register business details. You can add to and amend this information, sign the form digitally and date your submission.

You can save your form progress at any time and come back to it later.

Clicks on 'save progress' form.

Once the form is complete, click 'submit' and attach any supporting documentation.

Computer shows a 'submit' button and a screen appears where you can click on a further button to 'add attachments' and press a final 'submit' button. When pressed, a confirmation screen appears, confirming the form has been submitted.

Success! You'll receive an email copy of your submission.
