Workforce Planning Connect is a suite of free resources designed to support employers plan for the skills and workforce they need.
You can choose the resources that work best for your business size. The workbook has been developed with micro to small businesses in mind, while the toolkit and templates have been developed with small to medium-sized businesses in mind.
Whatever resource you choose, you can follow the steps to begin your workforce planning journey.
Micro to small businesses
The Workforce Planning Connect workbook is a practical, self-guided resource to help for micro business and small enterprises to build a workforce plan in full or to focus on key activities to support specific workforce needs.
Small to medium businesses
The Workforce Planning Connect toolkit is a comprehensive resource designed to support your business through the workforce planning process. The toolkit can be used to:
- develop a complete workforce plan
- address a specific workforce challenge, opportunity or need within a business.
There are also toolkit resources to support your business on your workforce planning journey. Fact sheets and templates have been developed to assist you with your workforce planning needs on topics such as:
- who to involve
- knowing your business and workforce
- workforce supply, future demand, and gap analysis
- risk assessments
- developing a detailed workforce plan.

Resources for the disability sector and agriculture industry
