Applying for the Exploration Industry Expenditure Concession
The Exploration Industry Expenditure Concession (EIEC) is implemented through the application to vary conditions of an exploration permit policy (Policy No 11/2012) and will apply to granted mineral and coal exploration permits that were:
- granted during or after year 2000
- granted outside of a competitive application process.
Once a mineral or coal exploration permit holder has identified they may be eligible for the EIEC, they must apply to have the concession considered. An application must be submitted for each exploration permit and the concession will only be considered for condition expenditure for the relevant period outlined in the policy.
How to apply
Permit holders who are registered for MyMinesOnline can lodge applications online for each permit.
Applications can also be submitted by email or letter direct to the relevant assessment hub.
