Pipeline and petroleum facility licence reports

What's new

A new practice direction and data submission templates are available below. Read more about new reporting requirements and implementation timelines.

You must notify us before you construct, commission or operate a licensed petroleum pipeline. You must also submit an annual report for the petroleum pipeline and for any other licensed petroleum facility.

Read how to meet your notification and reporting obligations under Queensland resources legislation, and download a flowchart of reporting requirements for petroleum pipeline licences (PDF, 129KB).

Note: Executive safety managers and operators of operating plant must also lodge a range of safety notices before operating plant is commissioned or decommissioned.

Permits this applies to

  • Petroleum pipeline licence
  • Petroleum facility licence

Before starting activities

Check requirements for land access and other notices before starting petroleum and gas activities.
