Investing in Queensland's CSG to LNG supply chain

Queensland is experiencing unprecedented resource development. This growth has supported an emerging coal seam gas (CSG) to liquefied natural gas (LNG) export industry that will be the first of its kind in the world.

The CSG industry has defied the recent global economic downturn, with continuing opportunities for international firms across all areas of the supply chain. Many companies have chosen to establish business operations in Queensland to take advantage of manufacturing incentives, local projects, and the existing local resource sector.

Queensland's CSG industry has experienced remarkable growth over the past decade, and now provides 90% of Queensland's domestic gas supply.

Eight projects have been announced for the CSG to LNG industry in Queensland. These projects involve partnerships between Queensland and international petroleum companies.

Investment opportunities in Queensland's CSG to LNG industry include:

  • drilling
  • gas processing, water treatment and gas and water gathering networks
  • pipe coating
  • engineering and manufacturing expertise
  • operational maintenance
  • training and development.

This guide explains the benefits of investing in Queensland's CSG and LNG industry.
