The Gas Electricity Certificate (GEC) Registry is the electronic register of Queensland Gas Scheme participants and GECs, as required by the legislation.
The registry has a number of public screens that allow the 4 required registers to be viewed. These are:
- accredited generators register
- scheme participants register
- GEC register
- liable load exemption register.
The registry can be used by participants to:
- create GECs
- transfer GECs
- surrender GECs
- monitor outstanding charges and download invoices
- notify the regulator of remittance of annual reports
- view details of holdings and various GEC transactions.
The GEC Registry functionality is split into public and registered users sections. Once a participant is registered and accredited, the regulator will send a username and password to the primary user of the organisation. That user can then login to the GEC Registry and create further users.
You must ensure that you keep your user details up to date. If a key user of your organisation leaves, you should advise us so that we can cease that user's access to the registry.
